It is always an honour when a friend asks you to develop their website. Sondra and her husband, Geoff are running a number of guesthouses in South Africa and wanted to re-do their old website to give it a fresher look and feel.

Both guesthouses are located in the small town of Colchester on the banks of the beautiful Sundays River, and a mere stone throw from the famous Addo Elephant Park. We wanted the website to incorporate the rich African wildlife as it is the only place in the world where you can find the Big 7 – elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, southern right whale and great white shark.

Project Feature: WordPress Multisite

When we started with the concept development phase, we realised that due to the nature of their business, each of the guesthouses needs to have its own “web-home” with a unique URL that can be connected to different booking platforms.

A WordPress multisite was the best way to go. It not only makes the management of the different guesthouse websites more manageable, but also allows for expansion to include more guesthouses in future.
